Ribas de Sil is a town and municipality in the province of Lugo, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Quiroga.

The town is not directly related to the monastery of Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil, which is currently used as a parador and is located further west. The monastery is first mentioned in the 10th century, but is believed to have been founded here in between the 6th and 7th century.[2]
