Raavan was a mythological show that aired on Zee TV from November 18,2006 to May 31,2008 about the journey of the greatest villain of the Indian mythology, Ravana.

Plot

This serial takes you into the life and world of Raavan and brings out several lesser-known facts about him. It takes a peek into the situations and characters that played a key role into shaping him into the evil King he is known as. Very few people know that Raavan was a great scholar and a devotee of Lord Shiva but what is unknown is where did Raavan come from? Who were his parents? How did a devotee of Lord Shiva who was such a learned person, turn into an evil man? This show reveals the unknown facts about the life of Raavan, which was full of situations and characters that changed him for worse. The script of this serial has been written with authentic references and research therefore, this serial is different from the present generation of serials.
