This is a portal with a lot of potential. Any plans to raise it to featured portal status? --Gray PorpoiseWhat have I done 18:15, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found this a while ago when i was thinking that Portal:Cetaceans may not have been 'broad' enough to get the FP (portal, not picture) and have slowly been improving it. It probably is worthy now, but i might try out that fortnightly change maybe, at least on the SA and maybe SP before nomination. As a portal i think it has a lot of potential, i am not too sure about the project as it overlaps a lot of other projects. Chris_huhtalk 18:29, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Updates?

[edit]

Anyone working on this Portal? feydey 13:40, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have been updating this portal every so often, but i was getting too busy recently to keep it going. I have now changed it so that the content is selected at random, rather than a new item every month. This way there will never a problem of not having an update. Although new stuff should be added, of course. Chris_huhtalk 16:18, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Intro section appearance

[edit]

I have reduced the indent to make the section display more symmetrically. If this is a problem go ahead and revert. I think there is too much white space et the top of the page, so I suggest adding a couple more images alongside the Blue Linckia starfish. I have made a change which looks better to me. Peter (Southwood) (talk): 19:10, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

[edit]

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:37, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
