Russowia is a genus of Asian flowering plants in the tribe Cardueae within the family Asteraceae.[2][3] The only known species is Russowia sogdiana, native to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Xinjiang, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.[4]
