Petite Canouan is one of the Grenadines – small islands which lie between the larger Caribbean islands of Saint Vincent and Grenada. Politically, it is part of the nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Its area is approximately 0.15 km2.

Environment

[edit]

The island has wildlife refuge status and hosts Petit Canouan Wildlife Reserve.[1] It has been designated an Important Bird Area (IBA) by BirdLife International because it supports seabird colonies, including magnificent frigatebirds, brown boobies, laughing gulls, and sooty, roseate and royal terns.[2]
