Paul Wright born August 1973,Nottingham. Wright was a member of the Ace Racing Team from 1995 until 2002.
He was a team member of the BMW PRO-FLEX UK International Mountain Bike Team from 1995-1996 as a Pro Elite Mountain bike racer and was team mate of Henrik Djernis, Beat Wabel, Peter Van Den Abeele & Caroline Alexander in the UK. He won the Notts & Derby Cyclo-Cross League in 1997-98. Rider of Cyclo-Cross manager & author, Simon Burney has a book on Cyclo-Cross training and racing:[Cyclocross Training and Technique by Simon Burney]. In 1999 Wright turned to Road Racing and in France turned semi-professional for the VC Saint-Lô Pont-Hébert team in the region Pont-Hébert is a commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. This was more popularly known as the developement team for Professional Crédit Agricole (cycling team). After two years abroad in the Summer months Wright moved back to the UK to finish his Cyclo-Cross racing domestically- his last Cyclo-Cross was in Derby in 2002.
