The series was announced for ITVX in September 2023. It is from writer and director duo Ed Whitmore and Marc Evans.[2] Philippa Langdale also directs episodes. Production comes from Buffalo Pictures, and the producers are Philippa Braithwaite and Evie Bergson-Korn.[3]

Martin Clunes leads the cast and is joined by Louis Ashbourne Serkis, Michael Obiora, Mark Lewis Jones, Natalia Kostrzewa, Carly-Sophia Davies and Gerran Howell.[4]

Filming took place in Wales in late 2023. Filming locations included Newport,[5] the Black Mountains,[6] and Llandovery.[7]

Broadcast
