(Redirected from Oren Alexander)

Tal Alexander (born 5 July 1986) and Oren Alexander are United States real estate agents focusing on the New York and Miami ultra-luxury markets.[1][2][3] They founded the Alexander Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in 2012.[4] In 2019, the brothers co-represented the buyer in the most expensive residential home transaction ever in the United States.[5]

Early life

[edit]

The brothers' parents are Israeli.[6] Tal Alexander played tennis for Hofstra University,[7] and Oren Alexander graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in finance.[8][9] They both moved to New York in 2008 to start their careers.[10][11]

Career

[edit]

Oren Alexander's first major deal was the sale of an $8.2 million penthouse in Manhattan in 2009.[11]

In 2019, the brothers co-represented the buyer in the United States' most expensive residential home transaction, when a 24,000 square foot penthouse, at 220 Central Park South, sold for $238 million in 2019.[5][12][13] This sale surpassed the prior record when Barry Rosenstein paid $137 million for his home in The Hamptons in 2014.[14] Also in 2019, the brothers sold an estate in Miami for $50 million, the most expensive single-family home ever sold in the Miami area.[15][16]

The brothers' clients include Leon Black,[17] Kim Kardashian and Kanye West,[18][19] Steve Madden,[20] and Tommy Hilfiger.[21] Oren Alexander has been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in Real Estate.[22]

In June 2022, the brothers left Douglas Elliman after a decade to launch their own firm, named Official.[23][24]

Allegations of sexual assault

[edit]

In 2024, more than 30 women accused Oren and his brother, Alon, of sexual assault. Tal has also been implicated in multiple assaults.[25] Several of the accusations, some dating back decades, were corroborated by "dozens of former classmates, brokerage employees and agents."[26]
