A notable feature about this album is the fact that it is the only record that singer [[Myles Kennedy]] appears on as a member of the band where he does not play guitar. He also joined the band about halfway through the album's writing stage, so many of the songs were entirely written by Tremonti by the time Kennedy came on-board, although Kennedy co-wrote about half the songs. |

It is said the album received its name from the band members' attitudes that life should be lived as if only one day remains. The album has been certified Gold in the United States, with sales worldwide reaching 750,000.[1] As of December 2008, One Day Remains has sold 496,000 copies in the U.S.
A notable feature about this album is the fact that it is the only record that singer Myles Kennedy appears on as a member of the band where he does not play guitar. Track information
In Loving Memory
Although never released as a single, "In Loving Memory" is one of the band's most popular songs among fans and is performed frequently in concert. On November 5, 2008 in Glasgow, an electric version of the song was performed for the first time, and has since become a regular feature in their live shows.
Mark Tremonti wrote the song about the death of his mother. In an interview he said: "There are a lot of themes on this record that are very personal, for example 'In Loving Memory' is about my mother who recently passed away. In terms of purely personal significance, you cannot get any deeper than that. It is definitely a sad, but uplifting song."
Metalingus
Like "In Loving Memory," "Metalingus" is one of the band's most popular songs and is a live staple. The title is a joke and a portmanteau of the terms heavy metal and cunnilingus (oral sex).
In pop culture
- WWE Superstar Edge has used an edited version of "Metalingus" as his entrance theme in the WWE since late 2004.
- "Open Your Eyes" is on the soundtrack for Madden NFL 2005.
- "Shed My Skin" appears on Fantastic 4: The Album.
- "Find the Real" was used as the theme song for WWE's WWE Royal Rumble 2005.
- A B-side called "Save Me" appears on Elektra: The Album.
- "Metalingus" was used as the background music for the opening vignette of the 2007 World Series.
- "In Loving Memory" was featured on a November 2005 episode of WWE Raw in a video package that was played during the Eddie Guerrero tribute show.
- Alter Bridge performed an acoustic version of "Find the Real" during a backstage segment with Edge on an episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. During the interview by Todd Grisham after he interrupted their performance, Edge referred to the band as his good friends.
