North Hall High School opened its doors in 1957 as the first high school in Hall County. Following North Hall was South Hall, now Johnson High School, as well as West Hall High School. The school remains in the original building with several additions. The original library serves as the main office and counselors' offices, and the original lunchroom is now the artroom. The campus is divided into halls. One hall mostly contains math, foreign language, and literature classrooms; another is mostly for science and history; a third hall houses tech courses such as welding, agriculture, construction, drafting, art, and machining; and a fourth hall, built in 1997, is home to fine arts classes such as band, chorus, and drama. The fourth hall also houses a new gymnasium and athletic complex consisting of a football stadium, baseball field, track, tennis courts, softball fields, batting cages, and air conditioned field houses.
