Mounaragam (transl. Silent Symphony) is a Malayalam-language Indian television soap opera that airs on Asianet and streams on Disney+ Hotstar. It is an official remake of the Telugu language serial Mouna Raagam, which airs on Star Maa.[2][3][4] It is one of the longest-running soap opera[broken anchor] in Malayalam.[5]

Plot Summary

[edit]

A mute, talented young woman, Kalyani, seeks her father's affection. She is drawn into the life of a wealthy boy, Kiran, who falls for her kind nature. Their love story is complicated by family feuds, misunderstandings, and a villainous cousin, Sarayu. Kalyani's journey is one of overcoming adversity, finding love, and proving her worth.[6]

The story explores themes of gender discrimination, familial love, and the resilience of the human spirit. It delves into the complexities of family dynamics, the consequences of toxic masculinity, and the enduring bond between mother and child.
