Monroe Middle School is located in San Jose, California and is part of the Campbell Union School District. Monroe is a California Distinguished School.
Activities
Sports Monroe has a total of six different after school sports: Basketball, Soccer, Wrestling, Volleyball, Track and Field, and Cross Country. The Mavericks are in the West Valley Athletic League with nine other schools.

Bands
Mr. Ari Brown is the Music Director, and teaches Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Bands.
In Spring 2009, the Advanced Band earned a high achievement award at the CMEA Festival (California Music Educator's Association).

History
Monroe opened as an elementary school in the 1960's.
A complete remodel, including the addition of a 2-story science, library and tech building, and an event center, was completed in 2009 using Bond Measure H funds.
