Abbreviations

[edit]

Feature request: Allow abbreviations of the tractate names. Daask (talk) 17:03, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for abbreviations: (incomplete - Please add more!):

Alternate texts

[edit]

Feature request: Add more translations and editions of the text. Sefaria was chosen as a text source solely for ease of implementation and completeness of the text. Daask (talk) 17:03, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of other possible sources: (incomplete - Please add more!):

  • Epstein; Hertz (1935–1948). Soncino Babylonian Talmud. London: Soncino Press – via come-and-hear.com.{{cite book}}: CS1 maint: date format (link)
[edit]

Feature request: Add a small help link like this? after citations in case people aren't familiar with the Talmud, linking to a brief introduction to the Talmud and how to read citations, distinguish Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmud, etc. I haven't been able to find a suitable page for this purpose. Any ideas? Daask (talk) 17:03, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New edits

[edit]

@Daask: I hope you don't mind my newest additions! Feel free to change something if you feel my code is bad, I kind of thumbsucked to get it to work. {{ping|waddie96}} {talk} 16:47, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Line numbers

[edit]

Does the template support Sefaria line numbers, e.g. Shabbat 3b? While Sefaria's line numbers are not a general standard and I don't think the line number should be visible on the Wikipedia page, nevertheless it is very helpful to be able to link to a specific line.
