Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty contest that is run by the World Beauty Association. The pageant was first conducted in 2009 in Plock (Poland). In the year 2013 the pageant was conducted outside Poland for the time, hosted by the city of Minsk in Belarus[1] The age of the candidate must be between 18-26 in order to be able to participate in this contest.

The current titleholder is Mutya Johanna Datul from the Philippines who won the title on 6 September 2013.[2]

History

The pageant was established in 2009. However, after the conclusion of Miss Supranational 2013, the organizers had a fall out. Carsten Mohr, former license manager walked out of the organization and tried to organize a new pageant under the same name. However, he is not authorized to use the name Miss Supranational and his new competition does not have the support of the pageant community.[3]

Competition formats

During the early years of the pageant, Miss Supranational declared Top 15 for final session.

In 2010 the number of semifinalists was increased to twenty, without cuts made to ten, the delegates will show their performances in swimsuit session and evening gown session and then to announce as runner-ups and the current Miss Supranational.

In 2013 the official candidate who marked as People's choice will select as the Top 20.
