Around 2:00 AM on Tuesday March 23rd, 2010 in the MIA airport, Mike Jones was arrested and charged with assault, battery and resisting arrest with violence. Jones' wife said he has a bi-polar disorder and is undergoing a court ordered mental evaluation.

He started his motorcycle racing career in 1972, and is often considered "one of the founding fathers of the sport of freestyle motocross".[1] Mike is the 1989 world champion of Supercross, 1998 world freestyle motocross champion, and a 2001 Winter X Games gold medalist. In 2001 he was the first ever to win the Red Bull X-Fighters competition. He also goes around North American schools to share about his experience.
