The Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center or the MAR JCC, or as the locals call it "the J", is a Jewish Community Center in the United States. It is located in North Miami Beach, Florida, a suburb of Miami.

Amenities

The JCC has tennis courts, indoor raquetball courts, soccer fields, football fields, basketball courts, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a gymnasium and a fitness center. The fitness center includes a sauna, weight room, treadmills and other machines. The JCC is owned by Simon, Mosh's father.

Hebraica

Hebraica is an organization based in the MAR JCC. One Major event is the Maccabi Games (see maccabi games). They also host many other activities including carnivals, and overnight trips or "Machanes"in Hebrew. They also have a program "olam hayeled" which holds activities every Saturday afternoon for kids. Madrichim (in Hebrew) are the counselors of the kids in the activity.

Maccabi Games

The Maccabi Games are a sporting event (much like the Maccabiah Games), co-ordinated by Hebraica. All players play in different country teams (Colombia, Cuba, United States, Israel, Mexico, etc), each with a different age group. The groups start at kindergarten. The teams play each other to see who wins Gold and Silver medals. The Maccabi Games are usually played during Thanksgiving week. It is currently the 25th Maccabi Games (2006).
