Matías Ignacio Fernández Cordero (born 14 August 1995) is a Chilean footballer who plays for Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle as a midfielder or wing back.

Club career

He joined to Wanderers’ youth ranks when he was 11.[1]

On second half 2022, Fernández moved to Ecuador and joined Independiente del Valle.[2]

International career

Fernández received his first call up to the Chile national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in October 2023 and made his debut in the match against Peru.[3]
