Marietta High School (MHS) is a public high school in the Marietta City Schools system in Marietta, Georgia. The school colors are blue and white and its mascot is a blue devil.
History
Marietta High School was established in 1892 as a Civil War hospital. The present-day gymnasium housed more than 1,500 Union and Confederate soldiers. In 1967 The Rolling Stones played a free concert in Northcutt Stadium. Marietta currently has more than 1,897 students in grades 9-12. The current site for MHS was first open to students in the fall of 2001. Class of 2005 was the first class to go all 4 years in the new building.

- Basketball: Marietta High School's basketball program is one of the most successful in the state of Georgia and in the country, winning state championships in 1983 and 1999. [2] Coach Charlie Hood has led the Blue Devils since 1972, accumulating over 700 wins (with only two losing seasons) and producing scores of college and professional players. Coach Hood has put together one of the winningest programs in the country and is a legend in the state of Georgia. He is assisted by Coach Wilbert Warren and Coach Lily Negash.[3][4]

- Golf: won the 1970 State Championship with a 5 foot putt made by Marietta High School Hall of famer Chuck Little to win the championship.

- Tennis: State Champions in 1990, and both the girls and boys teams continue to be competitive in the region every year. The boys are coached by Tom Lewis and the girls by Noel Jenks.
- Track and Field: The team won the boys' state championship in 2006 and was runner-up in 2005 and 2007. They also had state championship wins in 2000,2001,2005 and 2008.
Shadi Dix was the 110 hurldes State Champ in 2005.
