Despite being one of SBS's longest running television shows, ''The Movie Show'' was axed in June 2006 due to bad ratings.

In 2002, Fennell was a winner of the first [[Australian Film Institute|AFI]] Young Film Critics Competition. He then became the film critic and reporter for [[Sydney]] radio station [[FBi Radio]] from 2003-2006. Marc currently reviews film for multiple [[Australian Broadcasting Corporation|ABC]] Radio Stations including [[702 ABC Sydney]] and the ABC's national youth broadcaster [[triple j]]. Marc also presented a weekly film segment called 'Flicked' on [[triple j tv]].

Marc is currently a Reporter/Presenter on the new [[Andrew Denton]] produced show [[Hungry Beast]]. It will be airing September 30th 9pm on [[ABC1]].
