Mallia had one child, a son named Seth Neblett. His father is drummer and member of the group [[New Birth (band)|New Birth]], Nathaniel "Nebs" Neblett. His Godfather is [[Bootsy Collins]]. Seth sang on a [[Bootsy's Rubber Band]] album, [[This Boot Is Made for Fonk-N|This Boot is made for Fonk-N]], but was incorrectly credited as Seth Sterling (after [[Donnie Sterling]], Mallia's fiance). Bootsy, along with [[George Clinton (musician)|George Clinton]] paid homage to his Godson in a song for a group he produced, Xavion called Work That Sucker To Death. One of the song's lyrics is "Turk that sucker to Seth."

Mallia Franklin (March 3, 1952 – February 5, 2010) was a vocalist with P-Funk and was also known as the Queen of Funk. She introduced friends George Clinton and Bootsy Collins in 1971. She also brought Ex-Ohio Player, Junie Morrison to P-Funk in 1978.

She sang background on early Parliament and Funkadelic albums and became an original member of Parlet in 1978, where she recorded Pleasure Principle in 1978 and half of Invasion Of The Booty Snatchers in 1979. Left group to form proposed P-Funk Offshoot, Sterling Silver Starship with Bassist, Donnie Sterling.
