The Armada Girls are a combination Dance Team and Cheerleading Squad. They started during the 2007 Season (The Armada's Third Season of Play). One of the Armada Fan Traditions is they often like to play BINGO during the ballgame. During the first two seasons of play, Fan BINGO was run by BINGO Boy. Starting in the 2007 Season, Fan BINGO became a function of the Armada Girls. The Armada Girls are well assisted by the team mascot. The Armada's Mascot in "Arby I," the sea-going parrot. Arby I is a front fffice staff individual draws in a lot of young fans under age 12. At the beginning the 2006 Season, when The Armada was close to being in last place, a family of skunks move onto Blair Field, where the Long Beach Armada has their home games. After the skunks showed up and were cited, the Long Beach Armada's luck began to change, as they skyrocketed upward in the standings. The idea of the "Ralley Skunk" was initiated, and "Ralley Skunk Time" in the bottom of ninth inning was soon activated. |

The Long Beach Armada of Los Angeles of California of the United States of North America Including Barrow, Alaska (formerly named and commonly known as the Long Beach Armada) is an independent Golden Baseball League team based in Long Beach, California.
The current roster includes three left handed pitchers who reached the major leagues: Adam Pettyjohn, Alan Newman, and Bud Smith. In July 2006, former major league star José Canseco was traded to the team and plays as a designated hitter and pitcher.
On May 28, 2007, Golden Baseball League CEO, Dave Kaval, announced that the Armada's official name had been changed to Long Beach Armada of Los Angeles of California of the United States of North America Including Barrow, Alaska. Kaval explained the change saying, "In order to better reach the larger Armada Nation, we felt compelled to lengthen the name to incorporate all our fans stretching from the warm beaches of Los Angeles to the frigid beaches of the arctic circle. Our inspiration was Arte Moreno's brilliant marketing gambit of positioning the Anaheim Angels as an LA team. Being a real Los Angeles county team, we too wanted to extend our reach as far north as possible."[1] For the Armada to play any actual games in Alaska is unlikely -- there is in fact a baseball field in Barrow, but the playing surface is all-dirt (due to a lack of grass in Barrow) and the dimensions are only Little League-sized.
Despite the team's name change, they are still referred to in the media and at their home games as the Long Beach Armada.

Future MLB Hall of Famer Brock Smith, who coincidentally engaged in a mid-season fight with Canseco, but have since cleared things up after hosting a charity gala, in which all proceeds went towards anti-doping.
