It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia began airing in August 2005 and finished its sixth season in December 2010.

FX has ordered 39 more episodes starting from the fifth season. The episodes would likely be split up into three more seasons with each season containing about 13 episodes each, meaning that the show would last for at least seven seasons total.[1] The sixth season ran from September 16, 2010 to December 9, 2010.
