Katherine "Kate" O'Connor (born 12 December 2000)[2] is an Irish track and field athlete, who competes in the heptathlon and indoor pentathlon for Northern Ireland and Ireland. O'Connor is the Irish and Northern Irish record holder for heptathlon with 6297 points, and indoor pentathlon with 4396 points.[3][4][5][6]

Aged 17, O'Connor competed for Northern Ireland at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, finishing eighth in the heptathlon.[7]

She won a silver in the heptathlon at the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships in Borås, Sweden.[8][9]

O'Connor won the silver medal competing in the heptathlon at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, her first senior medal, behind Katarina Johnson-Thompson.

She qualified for the heptathlon at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, finishing in 13th place.

She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the Women's Heptathlon, placing 14th overall.
