Kanakamala is a hill near by [[Chalakudy]] town. The village around that area is also called as Kanakamala. There is regular bus services from Chalakudy and [[Kodakara]] to this village. There is Roman Catholic chapel over the hill. It is a place of pilgrimage during the holy week, especially on [[Good Friday]]. Many pilgrims used to climb the hill as an act of prayer and offering. The is another parish church below the hill. The most of the sides of the hill is covered with forest. |
