Kalaranjini is an Indian actress who started her career in the early 1980s.

Personal life

Kalaranjini was born to popular drama actors Chavara V. P. Nair and Vijayalakshmi in Kollam district. She is the granddaughter of famous writer Sooranad Kunjan Pillai. Her sisters are actors Kalpana and Urvashi.[1] Her two brothers, Kamal Roy and Prince had also acted in a few Malayalam movies. Prince (Nandu of Layanam fame) committed suicide at the age of 26.[2] Kalaranjini is divorced and has a son, Prince.[3]
