Degrowth

[edit]

Dr. Önder is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of Autonomous University of Barcelona ICTA-UAB under the supervision of Jason Hickel. Within the REAL project, works on quantifying the material and labour needed to provide decent living standards for everyone. In particular, his research focus is on understanding how much labour and material usage is required for a just transition which abolishes unequal exchange. For Dr. Önder, degrowth research must go hand in hand with the radical political struggle necessary to implement it.[1]
