KC Concepcion (born Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion on April 7, 1985) is a Filipina actress and singer and who is currently a National Ambassador Against Hunger of the UN's World Food Programme.[citation needed]
Biography
Personal life
Concepcion is the daughter of Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta. She was estranged from her father for thirteen years following her parents annulment and his immigration to the United States in 1995.[1] Concepcion was legally adopted by Senator Kiko Pangilinan following the marriage of Pangilinan and Cuneta.
In January 2011, KC admitted she began dating Piolo Pascual after courting for two years. And they said the reason why they kept their relationship a secret was because of Piolo's son out of wedlock, Iñigo Pascual.
Education
In 2003, she graduated from the International School Manila, and in 2007, graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts from the American University of Paris.
Love life
After many controversies and issues, it was revealed on The Buzz on January 30, 2011, that KC Concepcion was officially the girlfriend of Heart throb Piolo Pascual. Their anniversary is on October 21, 2010. A post-Valentine's Day date at Subic Bay was the first date they had as an open couple.
Career
Concepcion made several guest appearances in her mother's concerts and television shows. In 2003 became a product endorser both on television and in print ads. She also became an MTV Asia VJ.
In 2008, she was appointed by the United Nations World Food Program as National Ambassador Against Hunger, won the Nickelodeon Philippines Kids' Choice Awards for Pinoy Wannabe, and made her acting debut in Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled "Mansyon". She made her first movie via Star Cinema movie For the First Time. The movie grossed PHP 78,982,290 on its first week making it the highest grossing opening weekend of a Filipino movie for the year 2008 , the film ended up as the years third highest grossing movie with PHP 133,916,349.[citation needed]. She won the best performance by an actress award for her role in the film. In 2009, she starred in the movie When I Met U under GMA Films and Regal Films .
In 2009, she played the lead in the remake of the Koreanovela, Lovers in Paris with the philippines ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual. ABS-CBN reran the pilot week in a marathon showing on October 3, 2009.
The April 11, 2010 episode of The Buzz announced that Concepcion had been chosen to be the replacement co-host after Ruffa Gutierrez's departure.[2]
In her 2010 studio album, titled KC, she sings "Girl Most Likely To" by Skye Sweetnam from the soundtrack of Mattel's 2006 movie The Barbie Diaries.
