Johnsonville is a city in Florence County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 1,418 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Florence Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km²), all of it land. This area was once the site of Thomas Sumter's hit and run action.
