Kóbor János (Budapest, May 17, 1943 – Budapest, December 6, 2021) was a renowned Hungarian singer, nicknamed "Mecky," best known as the frontman of the rock band Omega.[1][2][3] He received both the Kossuth and Liszt Ferenc Awards for his contributions to Hungarian music. He passed away on 6th December 2021 after spending several weeks at the hospital due to having COVID-19.[4]
