Golden puts his Spective theories into practice in this complex yet harmonious composition. Painted on four independent canvases as allegories of the primary elements: water, fire, air, and Earth; "Visual Rhetoric" pays homage to Renaissance masters while at the same time prospecting to a new, original, contemporary style. Measuring approximately five and a half feet high (1.6 meters) and four feet wide(1.15 meters), "Visual Rhetoric" (VR) truly commands any wall it has been exhibited on.
