ITU Faculty of Architecture, was the first institution in the Ottoman Empire to educate students on architecture. The Department of Architecture is substantially equivalent to equivalent programs in the United States.[2] Famous architectures such as Ord. Prof. Emin Onat, Prof. Paul Bonatz, Prof. Said Kuran, Prof. Mukbil Gökdoğan, Prof. Kemal Ahmet Aru, Prof. Clemens Holzmeister, Prof. Gustav Olsner, Prof. Rudolf Belling, Prof. Orhan Arda have been members of School of Architecture.[3] The School of Architecture is located in the Taşkışla building,[4] a former Ottoman barracks in Beyoğlu and has five departments:

- Industrial Design
- Interior Architecture
- Landscape Architecture
- Urban and Regional Planning
