Hiraan Chatterjee (Bengali: হিরণ চ্যাটার্জী) (Born: December 19, 1982) is a Bengali Indian film actor.[1]
Biography
Hiraan Chatterjee, a versatile Bengali film actor, has showcased his talent through all kinds of films, romantic, comedy and action. The variety tells enough about his versatility. His Nickname is Papai. He lives with his wife Anindita, daughter Niyasa and a mentally retarded sister and resides near Tollygunge.[citation needed] Hiran was born at Uluberia, a sub-divisional town of Howrah, and spent his childhood days at Uluberia. He Was from very poor Family. He Lost both of his Parents At his early age.[citation needed] After loss of parents, after spending 14 academically brilliant years in Uluberia, he Started living in Maniktala Ashrom in Kolkata for his survival. While he was studying in the evening Classes, English Hons. from Rabindra Bharati University, in the day time he started working for the shipping company. Then he went on to Mumbai for joining in Reliance Industries.[citation needed] Then he did Management in Logistics & Supply Chain And Law In Customs.[citation needed] There after he left his Senior Manager's Job for becoming an actor. His passion for acting drove him into the uncertain but challenging world of film industry providing him with the courage to leave the security of a good job.

Social work
He is actively involved with the NGO group called “Parivaar” and he is a regular contributor there.[citation needed] He believes in social work in true sense. His awareness made him donate his eyes even at this young age.[citation needed]
