There was a big food fight in the Cafeteria on May 14th 2009 that resulted in the cancelation of Prom and 16 students were expelled.

Henry M. Jackson High School is a public high school in Mill Creek, Washington. Construction of the school was completed in 1994 by the Everett School District, and it is named after the late U.S. Senator from Washington State Henry M. Jackson, an Everett, Washington native.

Other high schools in the Everett School District are Cascade High School, Everett High School, and Sequoia Alternative School.

Intermediate schools that feed into Jackson are Heatherwood Middle School, located adjacent to the high school, and Gateway Middle School, located in the Silver Firs area northeast of Mill Creek.

Academics

Students at Jackson are required to complete a scholarly paper, autobiographical letter, and senior learning project and present to a panel of staff and community members as part of the Everett School District's "Culminating Exhibition" graduation requirement. The school offers an array of academic options including Advanced Placement classes in English, history, math, chemistry, and physics.
