H Company or H, formerly known as Holistic AI, is a French startup specializing in the development of artificial intelligence solutions. It focuses on creating AI models to enhance various business processes, with a long-term goal of achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).[1][2]
History
[edit]H Company was founded in late 2023 by Charles Kantor, a former Stanford University researcher, along with various former DeepMind employee, including Laurent Sifre, the actual CTO. The company secured in 2024 a seed funding of $220 million from investors such as Accel, Bpifrance, Amazon, UiPath, Eric Schmidt, Xavier Niel, Eurazeo, Yuri Milner, Bernard Arnault’s Aglaé Ventures, and Samsung.[3][4][3]
In August 2024, it was announced that three of the co-founders, Karl Tuyls, Daan Wierstra, and Julien Perolat, had left the company due to "operational differences".[5][6]
Activity
[edit]H Company aims to develop AI agents and action-oriented AI models to automate complex tasks and improve productivity across various industries. The company's mission is to drive productivity forward by developing “frontier action models to boost the productivity of workers” and work towards achieving full Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).[7][8]
