Route 40, known as Hafnarfjarðarvegur (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈhapnarˌfjarðarˌvɛːɣʏr̥], lit. 'Hafnarfjörður Road') in Icelandic or by its busiest stretch, Kringlumýrarbraut ([ˈkʰriŋlʏˌmiːrarˌprœyːt], lit. 'Kringlumýri Road'), is one of the two major traffic arteries running across Capital Region.[2][3]
