[edit]This file claims to be sourced from https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000539g. However, if you visit this site, this exact image is nowhere to be found. A similar image (the background photograph without the series title superimposed over) is on that site, but not this exact image. It would appear that this image has been sourced from somewhere else, and that source needs to be credited for this file to be used as a non-free image.
This has become an issue as this image is being used in the infobox for Years and Years (TV series). As per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television#Image, "For a show's main article, an intertitle shot of the show (i.e., a screenshot capture of the show's title) or a promotional poster used to represent the show itself should be used." If we agree to use a promotional image, then we need to be able to verify that image as actually being used by the series's producers (in this case, BBC or HBO) to promote the series. Without a proper source, this image may as well be a fan-created image, which would be unsuitable for a television series infobox. HaileyKhalif07 (talk) 00:32, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- This file is poorly sourced. The location is claims to be taken from (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000539g) does not contain the image. The file has been flagged under Template:Di-no source and will be deleted in seven days' time unless an accurate source is provided. HaileyKhalif07 (talk) 03:18, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- I have updated the source with the direct link to the image that I mentioned in our discussion yesterday. Also added additional text about it being used by BBC and Apple streaming services as the programme identification image. - X201 (talk) 07:39, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Excellent, thank you. Seeing as you have finally provided a source that actually confirms the image as being an official BBC promotional image, it is acceptable for usage in the series article. HaileyKhalif07 (talk) 08:11, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
