RE-COLORING THIS MAP (SPECIFICALLY CHINA):

[edit]

To editors: Is this map current, or based on Wallerstein's contemporary world view? I feel this image is erroneous if modern, given other states' economic importance in current world markets. For example, China's rise to economic power necessitates it's classification as "core" country. I cite China's push towards the Yuan being utilized as new reserve currency as merit for this (see: Harjani, Ansuya. “Yuan to supersede dollar as top reserve currency: Survey” CNBC News. Feb 26 2014. Available Online [1]. Accessed March 15, 2014.). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.189.178.91 (talk) 23:16, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
