1. The map says "khalifat" - a minimal correction would be "khalifate", though the overwhelmingly more common standard form is "caliphate". (Arabic transliteration issues here are hardly pertinent, considering that the suffix "-ate" renders this a thoroughly English word, subject to unfortunate English spelling conventions and only remotely related to the proper Arabic "ḫilāfah".)

2. Why were the American continents excluded? The early versions of the map may have had little information about them, but the same may be said of Southern Africa, and in any case the Americas are clearly a part of the world, then and since.
