This map contains a factual inaccuracy. The act defining the boundaries of the Wisconsin Territory did not include the UP. The boundaries were much the same as the present boundaries. olderwiser 18:08, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, here's a link to the text of the act establishing Wisconsin Territory. [1] olderwiser 18:16, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded a previous version without the error. --BaronLarf 04:06, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please see both Michigan Territory article and "Toledo Strip". According to those aritcles, that portion of Upper Peninsula was part of Wisconsin Territory until Michigan became a state. CJLippert 02:44, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing those out. I don't see where "Toledo Strip" describes the UP as part of Wisconsin Territory though. The description in Michigan Territory is inaccurate. I'll fix it when I get a chance. olderwiser 12:03, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
