[edit]This image was originally uploaded under a non-free license, but it is properly categorized as public domain now under this rationale: for images published in the United States prior to 1978 without explicit notice of "copyright, year, owner" or "©" attached
This work is in the public domain because it was published in the United States between 1929 and 1977 inclusive, without a copyright notice. Unless the author has been dead for several years, it is not in the public domain in countries that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works. This includes Canada, China (not Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan Area), Germany, Mexico, Switzerland, and other countries with individual treaties. See also further explanation. |
It was originally published in December of 1944, in a four-page newsletter which may be viewed in its entirety here.[1] Given the date and lack of copyright notice in the newsletter, the images contained therein are now public domain. SixFourThree (talk) 19:52, 25 February 2020 (UTC)SixFourThree
