LSD Decreases Heart Rate?

[edit]

I'm not sure how accurate this info is....LSD is known to stimulate the heart thus leading to a faster heart rate......so why does it say otherwise here? Zachorious (talk) 00:36, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I Googled it, and, surely, it should be increased. It's corrected now. Thanks for noticing it! Mikael Häggström (talk) 04:38, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not corrected, it still says it decreases heart rate. Also, while acid has been known to produce speedy rushy effects in the body, I don't think there is much nausea associated with it, at least not typically. That too should be corrected. Zachorious (talk) 08:46, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strange, it says increased in mine. Sometimes, the page has to be reloaded in the browser after opening to give effect to changes. I'll look into the nausea concern as well. Mikael Häggström (talk) 13:20, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The nausea thing comes from:
  • Schiff PL (2006). "Ergot and its alkaloids". American journal of pharmaceutical education. 70 (5): 98. PMID 17149427.
It is included in the article too, so although it is not very common, I think the image could include it as well. Mikael Häggström (talk) 13:23, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok it says increased now. As far as the nausea issue is concerned, couldn't you put "Possible nausea" instead? That way it is less absolute, because yeah lots of folks don't get nausea and I suppose some do. Zachorious (talk) 15:58, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The image needed some updates, so I made that one too. Note that it now is the .svg-version (File:Possible physical effects of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).svg) in the article. Thanks for your feedback! Mikael Häggström (talk) 17:23, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Make one for Psilocybin mushrooms too if you can! Zachorious (talk) 08:31, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put it on the list! Got some other interesting symptom-creators as well. Mikael Häggström (talk) 09:10, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
