I wonder if the unidentified man is her then or future husband, Anker Petersen. I watched the entire scene in slow motion about a dozen times, and there appears to be some recognition between the two of them on a deeper level. Petersen did work with her as the staff artist of the Allan Hancock Foundation at this time. And I do believe this was before she had her daughter several years later.
