Dear Mr. Van Peebles,

I would like to tell you that I believe in you and the way you have raised your children. The advice you give to them and I have read the book Identity Crisis, I myself follow and pass on to my grandsons. Thank you for being you and never selling out anyone to get ahead.

You have a birthday coming in a few days and I would also like to wish you a very happy and blessed birthday, tell and teach your grandchildren all you can while you still have time. I wish I had the funds to come to LA or NYC to meet you but since I don't. I send you the warmest hugs and kisses.
