Life imprisonment theoretically means imprisonment until the prisoner dies. Parole is possible after 10 years.

• China

Life imprisonment theoretically means imprisonment until the prisoner dies. Parole is possible after 10 years. But,murderer and Repeat offenders do not have the possibility of releasing on parole. However,the commutation is even in that case possible.
