I've never understood why in the UK and Ireland, the outside lane is called the inside lane, and the inside lane is called the outside lane. This just isn't logical! Apgeraint 20:13, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not- both the Highway Code in the UK and Ireland's Rules of the road designate it as Lane 1, Lane 2 and Lane 3. The diagram makes little sense! --Luke w (talk) 22:24, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
