This is not a geniune photo. The 1911 technology and chemistry did not allow for such clarity and resolution of non-arranged, moving subjects! This is clearly an 1970's era photo, most likely a re-enactment. A genuine in-the-field 1911 photo would be grainy, with lack of detail and many scars due to low quality of celluloid negative rolls. It would also be blurred or very dark because the negative would not have enough sensitivity for well-lighted and rapid exposures at the same time. Not even with a glass plate negative camera could you get such superb result in 1911, not to mention delicate glass-plate cameras are unsuitable for use in action-photography. High sensitivity and quick roll-film negatives were only developed during WWII! 87.97.101.6 (talk) 19:51, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
