File talk:Effects of overscan on fixed-pixel displays.png
Appearance
Most televisions have vastly better image scaling than the algorithm used to generate this image. Additionally video signals don't usually contain black and white signals like the bottom half. Therefore the bottom half of the test images here with the black and white dots, lines and text, is not a valid comparison of the effect of overscan on a television.
Image distorted in Firefox
[edit]This image doesn't work as intended in Firefox if Windows is set to a higher DPI. It works normally in Chrome, IE, and various image viewing programs. Only Firefox appears to be scaling it to the custom Windows DPI setting, even after doing "View Image" and clicking to zoom to actual size. 70.178.8.189 (talk) 16:47, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
