The result was to delete the image.

This orphaned talk page, subpage, image page, or similar is not eligible for speedy deletion under CSD G8 as it has been asserted to be useful to Wikipedia.

there is no other free alternative to this image as it is a map created by the paper's author from their research. Explaining this image by text is completely unfeasible and would be incredibly difficult/impossible to explain clearly. The image is replaceable because it is a map. See WP:NFC#UUI §4. --Stefan2 (talk) 17:23, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
