New Zealand

[edit]

New Zealand is part of Zealandia, not Australasia. 92.4.8.201 (talk) 01:02, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Let me state the obvious. Australia doesn't include the Pacific Islands and Zealandia isn't a continent: at least it hasn't been for 60 million years or so. The term for the area coloured in purple is "Oceania" not "Australia".

I'm going to be charitable and assume that people are just being confused by different meanings of the term continent. It's clear that this image is designed to illustrate the conventional geopolitical continental regions, not a special kind of geological formation.
