This image has been mistakenly identified by the up-loader as the historic Concrete Block House on 618-620 N. 4th Ave. This is an image of a modern Condo building which was built in 2008 on the land where the historic block house once stood. The building in this picture is not listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The original historic Concrete Block House was built in 1900 and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Since Phoenix’s preservation office does not have the ability to deny a demolition permit, the owner of a property, listed either in the National Register of Historic Places or the Phoenix Historic Property Register, may demolish the historical property if he or she so wishes.
